UPDATED AS OF FEBRUARY 25, 2024
NEW
YORK 1865 STATE CENSUS
Matt Putnam is starting up again and now on the NY 1865 and hopefully will continue right up to the present in another 50 or so years. Nice thing about the New York State Censuses is that for native New Yorkers they give the name of the County they were born in. But like in the 1890, several county’s returns were lost. There are no records we can find for St. Lawrence, Westchester and Wyoming Counties at all. There also were no Putnams or Putmans listed for Clinton, Delaware and Franklin Counties, but I don’t there were any there anyway. Matt with a tiny help from me, wrapped up this 1865. He ran out of things to do and started this headcount March 28, 2021 and wrapped the critter up February 25, 2022. Thank Ya Lad.

Interesting that David was born in Illinois. Best guess is that Elizabeth’s
